The Berwick Area Joint Sewer Authority (BAJSA) was organized in 1994 in Columbia County, Pennsylvania for the purpose of providing adequate waste water conveyance and treatment services for the municipalities. Currently, the authority services residences and commercial sites within the five different municipalities; Berwick Borough, Briar Creek Borough, Briar Creek Township, Mifflin Township, and Salem Township.
